Starting a new life in Turku

    We arrived at Turku, a fascinating city with historical buildings in the southwest of Finnland. It took us two hours to reach Turku from Helsinki Airport. When we arrived at Turku, our student tutors greeted us. We met Ronja, Asta and their friends in front of the Turku Cathedral. After a tiring journey, they helped us carry our suitcases and find our home.Thus, we met our Finnish friends for the first time. We gave them gifts that we brought from Turkey.
 
 Home Sweet Home...
Turku Student Village ... Our home is located in Krööplankatu, 20 minutes away from our school. When we first met our house, we liked it very much. I and my close friend Sıla lived in our house.We settled in our house, we had a tiring day. We were going to school the next morning.

I want to talk a little more about our home.  In our apartment, there were different places such as sauna, party room, bicycle room.

Sauna Culture in Finland...
The sauna culture is very famous in Finland.  Entering the sauna at regular intervals was one of the indispensable parts of life for Finns.Almost every home had a sauna. We could use the sauna with the reservation system.
We have learned that Finnish people love the sauna and even swim in the ice-frozen lake after leaving the sauna. Even thinking about it is crazy ...The sauna is the perfect representative of the Finnish people and culture.
