Visit to Naantali

    VISIT TO NAANTALI

During my time in Finland, I tried to attend different events. First of all, I would like to state my experiences and thoughts about visiting Naantali from these events.

We had the opportunity to go to Naantali with the exchange students from different countries. My friend and I were very curious about this trip and we applied immediately to attend the event.
We met with other exchange students and Tiina in front of the Library in Turku City Center. The weather  was really cold in Turku. After waiting for a while, the bus arrived and our trip started.
I did some research before going to Naantali. I learned that Naantali is a town in southwestern Finland. When we got there, tour guides greeted us. Then we went for a walk in the forest. I learned some information about Naantali from tour guides. I was very surprised by the freezing of the sea in the winter, and I learned that the Finnish people were skating on this ice-freezing sea, and that they entered this ice water.

There were some important attractions in the city, such as the Moomin World theme park on the island of Kailo. We arrived in Moomin Worl with tour guides. I like this place and I thought it would be better to visit in summer.
While our trip was continuing, the historical church in the middle of the town caught my attention. It looked like a very old building. I learned that the church in Naantal was founded in 1443 around the medieval Bridgettine monastery Vallis gratiae, which still dominates the skyline.

After eating delicious pancakes in Kailo, we went to school to watch Wanhat 2020. We had lunch here. I also enjoyed the tastes of Finland food. This event I attended gave me different experiences.

If I explain the activity from my own perspective, it was a very useful activity for me. It made me discover new places in Finland. I met exchange students from different cultures. And I communicated and interacted with them. During the interaction, I learned which countries they were from, in which department they studied, and their thoughts about Finland. Everyone seemed satisfied with this event. The only problem was that the weather was very cold. If this trip was done in summer, it would be more productive and more fun.
